ACP - Capstone Project

Project Overview:
Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre (Peter Mac) is a world leading cancer research, education and treatment centre and Australia’s only public health service solely dedicated to caring for people affected by cancer. They have over 3,200 staff, including more than 700 laboratory and clinical researchers, all focused on providing better treatments, better care and
potential cures for cancer. Peter Mac cancer centres are location around greater Melbourne.

Peter Mac is in the process of setting up the basis for developing a new education program primarily for patient-facing admin staff which has a direct effect on patients and their visitors. As part of this program Peter Mac is wanting to create a series of motion graphics videos to detail the different stages of the patient journey and what they can expect, what the different areas of the hospital do, what services are available, and the types of equipment that is being used.

Currently most of the existing resources lack design consistency which is a key point that needs to be considered. The videos should be designed for a general public audience. In 2021 a visual style was developed by a motion design capstone cohort which PeterMac would like to retain, however they are open to new suggestions
